After a 4 hour delay on Thursday night, I’m finally in Kerala on Saturday morning. The Int’l hotel upgraded me to their executive room. Wish I had that luck on any of the 3 planes I got here with. After a 3 hr nap to make up for about 30 hrs of no sleep, I went to discover Mahatma Gandhi Road and started thawing. Not in the metaphoric way but literally sweating buckets! Nothing much else here to do so I plan on heading to the ashram in the morning.
Found a small vegetarian restaurant and had vegetable biryani, which was really pretty much a rice dish but extra yummy! Wish I took note of the name and address of this restaurant!
See the pic of the wooden massage table? Better yet, see the cloth atop? That’s the “dress” I had to wear today for my very first Ayurvedic massage. It can’t be a loin cloth and it barely covered the groins. For what it looks like and how it works, it’s now known as the uterus-cover! Hahaha! Either way, the experience was awkward.
