| From Kochi to the Ashram |

The drive here to Veliyanad was not impressive, especially since the driver didn’t know where he was going. I secured the driver yesterday from the hotel. He assured me he knows the place with the signature Indian head nod and hand motions.
My room.
Met with the teacher but since the course doesn’t officially start till tomorrow, no details are given yet. Currently meeting others and my new roommate just arrived. She’s staying for about a week.

The ashram is very clean, very peaceful. The buildings are surrounded with trees – fruits and flowering. It’s a bit cooler here compared to the City. The shower, toilet and sink are in one room without walls…everything gets wet. There was one massive cockroach near the bed that didn’t want to wake up from savasana.
