The party dorm and beyond

My roommates: ‘the pumpkin bhajis’

My room-mates and I are baffled that we don’t hear others in their dorms when our laughter, gossip and experiences can be heard 3 dorms away. Yesterday, I asked our neighbour if they don’t talk since we haven’t been hearing them.  This same neighbour came over to shut us up one night! 🙂  She said that 2 of them listen to music via headphones and the other 2 read etc.  We’ve determined that the lack of privacy curtains that separate each person’s area is an obstacle for ‘communication’.  However, our dorm’s curtain rods are broken so we don’t have that privacy.  I certainly prefer it this way, otherwise, it would have been quite hard to release pressure without gabbing about it!

Panchem-best place to eat in Nashik City.  Excellent chai.
The view from the front of the ashram – absolutely beautiful.

Today is our 1st day off since we’ve started. We’re planning to go to Nashik city asap for shopping, email, indian scalp massage, hair washing, coffee (forbidden product in ashram), phone dilemmas, local ice-cream and chai….etc.  Next week, I will try to be here only for a short time to email and shop for necessities.  After which a few of us will visit Lord Trimbak’s temple and the caves.  Until next week….
